Retro PC Build – Collecting more parts

I’m getting there, have to get a few more items and I can start.

I bought a Socket 3 Lucky Star LS-486E REV:C2 on eBay. Has PCI and ISA slots and the max ram it can take is 128MB. So naturally I ordered four 32MB 72pin EDO simms. However I think I dropped the gun for the RAM. Only some models of that motherboard is compatible with EDO RAM. Apparently it’s the chipset but nothing in the manuals to the EDO compatible version and the non-EDO state the difference. Both manuals state the same chipset.

I need a Compact flash card then all of the hardware gathered. However I need a USB floppy drive and floppy disks for my main PC so I can get software onto the retro PC. Those items will be next payday’s shopping.
