I’ve been slowly working on this project. I really wanted to use Linear Rails on the Y-Axis but the rails kept binding up causing too much drag. After all a NEMA17 stepper motor is driving the Y-Axis and it has to move a 400x400mm bed.
So I broke down and went with the rollers and got all of the hardware squared away. However the Pad7 decided to act weird so now I have to reprogram that. I need to pull the printer configuration off it’s SD card or I will have to figure out all of the parameters again.
Currently it’s a little impossible to get to the printer since my oldest son’s car is in the Garage. I’m planning to move the printer rack this weekend to the other side of the garage so it can be accessible. After doing so I’ll include some pictures and attempt to make a guide for putting the Y-Axis together.
