Yesterday the sales team at work had me build up a demo display for a trade show they’re going to this weekend. They already had the plywood and cloth cover done. I just had to populate the equipment and make it all work and I went over beyond and added a cellular modem so they can show it off with their phones and tablets.
I took over the break room at the office for the build.
For the Alarm panel we went with a Qolsys IQ4, Alarm.com doorbell, IP Camera and a smart Z-Wave dimmer switch. Got it working on the Alarm.com app. Got the doorbell to display onto the IQ4 panel. I couldn’t get the IP camera to work with the IQ4 for some strange reason.
For the other side I got a small TV connected to a Hikvision K series NVR and a couple of Hikvision ColorVu cameras. We decided to disable the LED lights since they are super bright. I got the NVR to switch camera views every ten seconds.
The display is going to be behind the main table so only the two sides are visible.
We were going to do a smart lock but the plywood is too thin and we didn’t have the hole saws to do it. If I knew they wanted a lock I would of brought my hole saws and used a 2×6 or something.
